Hello! My name is John Riley, and I'm UBank's Chief Human Resources Officer.

Before we jump into my role here at UBank, I’d love to give some backstory so you can get to know me a little better!

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology in 2003, I knew that I wanted to go into a career that focused on people. When I’m not traveling with the family, fishing with the kids, or eating good Tex-Mex, I enjoy volunteering at my local church and community organizations. I’ve lived in Lufkin for many years, and I’m proud to call this little piece of East Texas my home.

I started working at UBank Lufkin in May of 2020, and I truly believe all roads up to this point in my career have led me here. After working in Human Resources for over 10 years, I have learned a lot about communicating with and caring for people. And as far as I’m concerned, UBank has some of the best people in Lufkin, all of whom are working to serve our customers every single day.

Working at UBank is extremely rewarding because it’s my job to make sure that the people who serve our East Texas communities are happy, healthy, and safe. When our employees are taken care of, so are our customers.

At UBank, we realize that one of our greatest assets are the people who work for us.

We love to empower our employees to grow as business professionals, and that’s one of my favorite parts about the job – helping employees reach their full potential! If you are looking for a great career that allows you to work with neighbors and community leaders, look no further.

We’re always on the lookout for great talent to add to our team, so if UBank seems like the place for you, feel free to reach out to me anytime. You can visit our Careers page to see which positions are currently open. Keep in touch with us for any open positions here that you might want to talk to us about!
